Day Sail On The
ENDEAVOUR REPLICA
(Click on any image to enlarge)
This is the Endeavour Replica berthed at the port of Fremantle,
Perth, Western Australia, where she was constructed.
I was fortunate enough to have a day onboard, sailing out of Fremantle.
It was her last sailing day before embarking on her voyage to Plymouth.
Stern view.
Unfurling the sails before weighing anchor.
Sails unfurled, Away We Go!!!
The Windlass.
Even looks like a Captain doesn't he! (in the white tee-shirt).
Awesome ride up there on the bowsprit!
There's something like fifteen kilometers of cordage onboard.
That's LOT of rope!
Calm1 even got a turn at the helm!!!
Some entertainment while we ate lunch below deck.
I braved the swaying and climbed aloft after dinner.
OOPS!!... swill the deck!!
Someone down there couldn't keep their lunch down!!
The First Mate.
Ship Ahoy!!
Get that cannon charged NOW!!!
BANG!!!!
Hey you!!.... Lookout over there!!!....
Incoming cannon ball!!
The Engine Room.
Well, when you've spent over fourteen million dollars,
you have to take some extra precautions!
If I were the Captain....
This is where I'd be hanging out!!!

All us hearty seafarers were issued a mug filled with hot rum and lemon
As we disembarked, mmm, I can taste it still!!!
Well, I certainly had a great day onboard!!
I hope you enjoyed sharing it with me!!
